In 2023, we organized and hosted the first USA National Valais Blacknose Show - GRADING & SHOW - at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, in Des Moines, Iowa, centrally located in the USA.  

We have shown livestock over 40 years and know what it takes to make a great show.

Our goals are to unify USA Valais Blacknose breeders/owners regardless of their registry membership/affiliation, assist with education, promote the Valais breed by providing breeders/owners/customers shows to exhibit their sheep - including Breed Up classes, wether classes and purebred grading, and to spark other shows across the USA.  Our goal is to make this a large successful annual event with widespread collaboration from breeders from across the USA to lay the groundwork for future regional shows to help fuel the growth of the breed.

We showcase and promote OUR breed, Valais Blacknose.  This show is an independent, ALL, and ONLY, VALAIS BREED and VALAIS CROSSBRED SHOW, not held in conjunction with another show or event.  This gives us the ability to customize our classes to the needs of breeders/owners with classes for our Breed Up sheep, and wethers.  

In short, the National Show is targeted toward Valais Blacknose breeders.  Different shows have different purposes.  Some feature wool and the fiber arts & crafts, while others cater to the public and breed promotion.  The National Show hosts a world-class BREED STANDARD SHOW  with grading and judging by Swiss commissioned Judges/Graders, education, vendor exhibit hall and breeder networking for Valais Blacknose breeders and enthusiasts.
